our team

Ridgedale has embraced the concept of team staffing.  We use teams to teach, lead worship, do student ministry, children's ministry and just about any other ministry we have engaged.  The staff team, under the leadership oour Senior Pastor and Board of Directors, exists to serve the greater team of our lay leaders.  The staff team is here to equip and enable them to do ministry.  (Ephesians 4:11-12)

We want to produce and release spiritual leaders.

  • Mark McGill

Pastor Mark was born in Maryville, TN in 1969. A Christian friend’s family reached out to him as an early teen and he found himself hearing the preaching of the Word of God and being drawn to salvation. He describes the experience, “I’ve never gotten over that grip of grace. I ran into God’s arms.” Within a few years the gifts of preaching, teaching and leadership became evident to Mark and to his church family. God had fashioned a new pastor.

He entered the ministry full-time at the age of 26 and came to Ridgedale as his first senior pastorate in September of 2000. Ridgedale had suffered a serious decline and found itself left with around 20 faithful members. Closing the doors was a serious consideration. But God had a different idea. Mark and the church connected and unanimously sensed a calling to begin anew.

Chris joined the staff as Children’s Minister in 2006, and in 2009 took on the role of Administrative and Family Pastor. Prior to being called into the ministry at Ridgedale, Chris was Manager of Operations 1994 - 2006 at Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Chris’s goal is to lead the church by implementing the vision of the church and the pastor through the staff and ministry leaders.  Chris has been married for 18 years to Tammy who is a sign language interpreter for the University of Tennessee and helps lead the deaf ministry at Ridgedale. Chris has one son Seth (1) which is the joy of his life.

  • Heather dixon

I was raised in the small town of Dandridge, Tennessee.  In 2005 I went to Michigan for four years to be a live-in nanny to four children.  When I moved back to Tennessee, I took the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Walters State Community College.  I worked at University of Tennessee Medical Center for almost five years where I met my husband.  After our daughter was born, I prayed for a way to have more time at home with her, and shortly after was led to serve at Ridgedale MDO.  I love teaching my students about God's love and growing a relationship with them and their families.  The verse I live by is "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord not for men."
